Sure! I’ll tell you what stuff I really dig.
Busdriver is insane. Lyrically and aurally, the man is a whirlwind. I recommend every record he’s ever put out. He does really interesting things with each one. I can listen to him all day without tiring because he’s so eclectic.
Go check out The Roots, De La Soul, Black Star, Jurassic 5, Lupe Fiasco, Mr. Lif… And you can’t go wrong with the classics, Afrika Bambaataa or Grandmaster Flash or Run-DMC. This guy I sort of went to high school with is both an ill and dope DJ, you can check out his stuff at http://www.illadope.com/. I can assure you, the above list is filled with all sorts of excellence.
